Summer Open Studios 2017 at The Sorting Office

 Apr 28, 2017

The Sorting Office will be opening its doors to the public on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of June for its annual Summer Open Studios event.

The weekend is a chance for visitors to browse the vibrant studio spaces and buy an exquisite array of wares, expertly hand-crafted by local designer-makers.

The studios’ 17 resident designer-makers will be on hand to welcome visitors, talk about their crafts and show off their work.

A selection of local artists and makers will also be setting up shop in the studios’ Production House for the event’s popular Maker’s Fair, whilst a number of artisanal food and coffee stalls outside on the forecourt will be there provide refreshments.

A spokesperson for The Sorting Office said:

“Summer Open Studios is all about showing off our beautiful studios – our artists hold nothing back in making their spaces bright and welcoming.

“Seeing people turn out and get to know the studios is such a lovely feeling, The sheer variety of talent means that everyone will find something to suit them inside.”

The event’s Saturday opening also coincides with Eastleigh Unwrapped, making for a lively day of festivities in the town centre.

Summer Open Studios, running from 11am-5pm, is a free event and anyone is welcome to attend.
