Fashion Designer Emily Burns to Display at Selvedge Spring Fair
Fashion Designer-maker Emily Burns, owner of small clothing business Firecrest Mode, has been picked to display her work at Selvedge Spring Fair in Bath.
Emily, who creates sustainable women’s clothing from her studio at The Sorting Office in Eastleigh, successfully applied in January to exhibit her work alongside a curated selection of 40 other designers, makers and vendors.
On being given the opportunity to display at the Fair, Emily said:
“It’s the biggest fair I’ll have been to so far, so it’s a real sense of achievement for me.
“The calibre of work at Selvedge is always so high, so it’s a huge validation for me to know that they’ve chosen my work.”
Emily will be taking along a selection from her Florals collection, which is comprised of vintage-style, hand-crafted garments.
The clothes themselves feature flowing, colourful designs crafted from sustainable, eco-friendly materials, and will be ideal for the warmer spring weather.
The fair, which runs from 11am – 5pm on Saturday, 25 March, is being held at the Assembly Rooms in Bath.
