Claire Vine Handpicked to Display at Top Drawer

 Dec 13, 2016

The Sorting Office resident interior designer Claire Vine has been handpicked to display her work at leading trade fair Top Drawer as part of the Spotted section for new businesses.

Claire’s designs, which include luxury homeware items and bespoke soft furnishings that feature bold, bright designs in her distinctive style, were selected by Spotted curator, renowned design journalist and author of Scandinavian design book Hygge, Charlotte Abrahams.

Ms Abrahams said of her decision to pick Claire:

As curator of the new design showcase Spotted I am looking for originality, quality and commercial viability.

“Claire's work ticked all the boxes - her clever mixing of patterns, strong colours and clean aesthetic is both fresh and totally on trend.”

Claire will join 40 other designer-makers at Top Drawer’s Spring/Summer 2017 fair, which takes place on the 15th – 17th January at Olympia exhibition venue in London.

The show is a great opportunity for Claire, who works from her studio at The Sorting Office in Eastleigh, to get her work noticed by the large numbers of big name and independent buyers, both from home and overseas, that attend the bi-annual exhibition.

On being selected for the exhibition, Claire said:

“Top Draw is such a prestigious event, so when Charlotte told me I’d been picked to display my work at Spotted, I was absolutely thrilled.

“This is an amazing opportunity to kick start my business, show off my work and connect with potential future buyers.

“I’m really looking forward to being involved, meeting the other exhibitors and maybe doing a bit of trend spotting too.”
