SATURDAY 4th  MARCH 2017, 10am-4pm

You will use my hand dyed silk fibres, wool and silk chiffon in sumptuous colours, to make a nuno felt scarf, which you can take home and wear the next day!

Nuno means the fibres passing through the fabric. These scarves are ever so soft and the silk gives them a gorgeous sheen. I have a huge range of colours and so there is something to suit everyone.

It's a relaxed day in a lovely setting and I'm happy to show you around the studios. This workshop is for young and old; novice felter to a dab hand.

The workshop runs on Saturday 4th March 2017,from 10am-4pm at The Sorting Office Studios, 37 Wells Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 5FY

I supply all equipment and materials. It's helpful if you could bring a bag to take home your damp scarf in.

I provide tea and coffee, including decaff options and homemade flapjacks!

Please bring a lunch or if you prefer, there are many eateries in Eastleigh.

I'm sorry that there is no parking at the Sorting Office Studios. If you need to park at the studio on medical grounds, please get in touch with me.The train and bus stations are very close by. There are public car parks, the nearest being the multi-storey in Mitchell Road, but they are expensive for the day.You can park and walk (10-15mins) so if you prefer this option, get in touch and I can give you some ideas for where to park.

If you've any queries, please get in touch with me.

Stacking rings are one of the biggest current fashion trends, and one of my favourite pieces of jewellery to make. Once you have mastered the basics a fantastic variety of textures and embellishments can be added to your rings, allowing you to build up a collection of beautiful rings that can be mixed and matched for a different look ever day.

The Silver Stacking Rings Workshop teaches you all the skills you need to make your own perfectly fitting rings - for yourself or for presents! The class is perfect for beginners to jewellery making as it teaches many of the basic techniques needed for more advanced skills, however those with previous experience will also find their skills tested and improved by the end of the session.

Only 8 places are available to ensure that everyone gets the help and attention they need. Under 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are included in the workshop fee, but lunch is not provided.

This intensive weekend workshop is an excellent introduction to the most important silver jewellery making skills every jeweller needs.

During the weekend we will work through three projects, a bangle or simple ring, a chain and a sawn pendant, to teach you the soldering, filing, texturing, forging, sawing and polishing techniques that you will need for every future piece of jewellery that you make. We will also discuss the tools and equipment you need to continue with jewellery making at home. You will go home with a great range of skills and a beautiful new set of jewellery!
